Rhum JM Vieux La Dame Jeanne No. 4 – 47.6% is the result of a meticulous blend of Très Vieux Martinique AOC Agricole Rums, crafted by the JM distillery in Macouba, in the north of the island. To create this exceptional cuvée, Karine Lassalle, Cellar Master, selected the finest reserves of the distillery, combining iconic vintages with precision and expertise.
This blend brings together carefully chosen vintages, aged in a variety of casks:
4.3% of the 2000 vintage (24 years old), matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels
17.3% of the 2011 vintage (13 years old), in American oak ex-bourbon
8.7% of the 2014 vintage (10 years old), also in ex-bourbon
9.8% of the 2015 vintage (9 years old), aged in long-toast French oak
9.8% of the 2015 vintage (9 years old), from French oak barrels sourced from the Darney forest (Vosges)
9.5% of the 2015 vintage (9 years old), in small French oak barrels
8.7% of the 2015 vintage (9 years old), in intensely toasted American oak
17.3% of the 2017 vintage (7 years old), aged in American oak with an innovative structure
14.6% of the 2017 vintage (7 years old), in long-toast French oak
From this complex assembly emerges a Très Vieux Agricole Rum of remarkable elegance, combining depth with gourmandise. Its harmoniously blended aromatic profile reveals notes of roasted cocoa, praline almond, candied orange, and Bourbon vanilla, enriched with touches of toasted hazelnut and candied ginger. A subtle smoky nuance envelops the palate, leading to an exceptionally long and satisfying finish.
Presented in a limited-edition Dame Jeanne-shaped bottle, this cuvée is as much a collectible as it is a tasting experience — a true benchmark of excellence.

THE BRAND
Located in Macouba, at the foot of Montagne Pelée in northern Martinique, Distillerie J.M is one of the emblematic houses of Martinique AOC Agricole Rum. Founded in the 19th century, it takes its name from Jean-Marie Martin, heir to a long family tradition devoted to sugarcane cultivation and the production of exceptional rums.
JM rums originate from a unique terroir. The sugarcane fields grow on mineral-rich volcanic soil, nourished by pure water from the slopes of Montagne Pelée. This exceptional environment gives the rums a remarkable freshness, minerality, and aromatic intensity. Each cane parcel is carefully cultivated to produce high-quality fresh cane juice, the essential base of Martinique AOC Agricole Rums.
The distillery combines traditional methods with modern techniques to preserve the full expression of the terroir. Fermentation is long and carefully controlled, allowing the development of the characteristic fruity and floral aromas. The creole column distillation, typical of Martinique, ensures remarkable purity and finesse.
JM is also renowned for its aged and vintage rums. Maturation takes place in a selection of American or French oak barrels, sometimes with long or intense toasting depending on the desired effect. This variety of casks allows for nuanced aromatic complexity, bringing together vanilla, toasted, fruity, and occasionally lightly smoky notes. Vintages are meticulously blended by the Cellar Master, ensuring balance and harmony in each cuvée.
Signature cuvées include:
White agricole rum, fresh and lively, perfect for cocktails or neat tasting.
Aged and vintage rums, rich and complex, for enthusiasts of long aging and subtle blends.
Limited editions, often presented in artistic bottles, such as the famous Dame Jeanne, true collector’s pieces.
JM rums stand out for their rich and nuanced aromatic profile, exceptional complexity and length on the palate, and remarkable aging potential.
Thanks to this expertise, Distillerie JM is today recognized as a benchmark of Martinique agricole rum, celebrated by connoisseurs worldwide.

JM is a family-owned distillery founded in 1845 in Martinique, known for its high-quality agricole rum.
